Private Instructor: Piano & Percussion
I am a piano teacher, as well as a drum teacher, who teaches ages 7-adult in Amherst, Massachusetts. Classical, Jazz, Rock, New Age, there is no limit what can be done with a great technique. I have high expectations, though a quite fun approach to teaching. A graduate of two top conservatories and also a parent, I am eager to share the successes I have had teaching in my studio.
Private Instructor: Composition & Theory
Theory/Composition Lessons are one-on-one and include theory, composing, computer notation, desktop publishing of scores and parts, rehearsal techniques, portfolio assembly, and college preparation. The music studio, furnished with a grand piano, an iMac, and several pencils, is in an 1860 farmhouse in Amherst, Massachusetts.
I've said it before: something happened with your
encouragement that started all this . . . Stay cool!

Dan's high school students in Theory/Composition have been accepted to the Boston University Tanglewood Institute (BUTI), the most elite summer program in the world for young composers. Three of his students in Theory/Composition entered Ivy League Schools in part on the strength of their music portfolios. One was accepted to Berklee College of Music, and one to Jazz in July at UMASS Amherst.
I present lively, interactive How to Compose Seminars for school-age children as well as adults. Whether you teach in a classroom, or in a private studio -- no matter the instrument -- and would like to experience a How to Compose Seminar at your facility, please contact Dan at your convenience.
